Lost your way in what to wear?
Having a baby is a most wonderful experience but does anyone tell you in all the baby books you have read is that after the baby is born you won’t be able to fit back into your clothes for some time or may be ever!
The wardrobe is full of pre, during and post pregnancy clothes and you are probably fed up with all of them! You are no doubt feeling tired but if one more person tells you that…..you might SCREAM!
It was after the birth of my second daughter that I realised I had lost my confidence in the way I dressed. I had taken redundancy from a Senior position In Marks and Spencer , I had 2 daughters under the ages of 4 I was unsure what suited me , nothing in the wardrobe was right , I felt fat and frumpy , plus how did I find time to think about what I would wear?
I then discovered the power of Colour. A voucher purchased by my husband for a colour analysis class. WOW what a differerenc e it made, suddenly the tired look had gone when I wore the right colours for my complexion .In the wrong ones I did look tired, dull and uninteresting. In the right one I looked more energised slimmer and younger – always a good thing! How can this be? Not only did I see the difference but I started receiving compliments ..,’you are looking really well’ ‘have you lost weight’ , it was amazing .I then realised that the big baggy clothes were dong me no favours either so booked a style class too!
It was a real treat to have some time for me, and as I was going to need to buy some new clothes it made practical and economic sense too – shopping became easier which was fantastic with 2 little ones in tow! I quickly learned that I didn’t need as many clothes as I thought I did as I could mix and match.
My visits to my stylist were so life changing that I when I realised there was a vacancy in my area I applied and have been helping clients just like me for the past 14 years. Seeing the transformation before my eyes when my clients suddenly realise that they can look wonderful is a real privilege and the best job in the world.
